ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Former Missouri Tigers point guard Phil Pressey may have found a new home—Boston.
The 5’11 junior made himself eligible for Thursday night’s NBA Draft, but was not selected.
However, Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the NBA’s Celtics signed Pressey shortly after the conclusion of the draft. Terms have not been disclosed.
His father, former NBA player Paul Pressey, was an assistant coach with Boston from 2004-2006.
Phil Pressey averaged 11.9 points and 7.1 assists per game with Missouri last season.
Mizzou head coach Frank Haith tweeted on Thursday, “Phil has the uncanny ability to make those around him better. Wants to win as badly as any player I’ve coached. #warrior”
